For the purpose of <br /> abandonment,a tremie pipe shall be installed to the base of the well and grout pumped through the <br /> tremie pipe such that the well is filled with grout from the base upward. A neat bentonite grout will <br /> be used for well abandonment. Prior to tremie grouting,the flush-mount well head vault and <br /> concrete surface pad will be removed, a 20" diameter and three-foot deep hole shall be dug around <br /> the well head, and the well pipe shall be removed to 0.5 feet above the bottom of the hole.At the <br /> same time the well is tremie grouted,the surface hole will be filled with 1 foot of grout. After the <br /> grout has set,The remaining hole will be backfilled with clean material and the surface will be <br /> graded level. <br /> Your prompt attention to this matter would be appreciated.
