Eight inches of#0/30 transition sand will be installed above the filter pack of each well. <br /> A one-foot bentonite seal will be placed above each sand pack, and neat cement will be used to seal the <br /> remaining annular space to the surface. The well will be completed with a 3-foot stove-pipe monument <br /> and traffic ballards. Soil cuttings will be logged by a URS geologist in accordance with the Unified Soil <br /> Classification System. No soil samples will be collected for laboratory analysis. <br /> WELL DEVELOPMENT <br /> The new monitoring well will be developed using a 1.5-inch OD hand bailer by continuously surging <br /> over the entire screened interval for 10 minutes. Well development will be completed by purging a <br /> maximum of 10 well casing volumes or until stabilization of water parameters(i.e. conductivity and pH). <br /> WASTE DISPOSAL <br /> Soil cuttings and wastewater generated during the drilling and development activities will be placed in <br /> 55-gallon DOT-approved steel drums, pending disposal.
