Focused Groundwater Investigation Work Plan Deuel Vocational Institution(DVI), Tracy, California Data Acquisition and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Error Detection and Correction If any document completion errors are found during the review of project documents by the PM or a designee, a correction process will be undertaken by the individual who discovered the error. If an error is discovered,the incorrect form will be sent to the individual best suited to correct the error. After the form has been corrected, it will, in effect,become the final version of the document, suitable for report use. 5.7.2 Data Validation Data validation will be performed on every work order,method, and matrix. This confirmation process will include review of the analytical results and associated laboratory internal QC data and field QC data reported by the analytical laboratory. All generated data will be assessed for PARCC parameters. Any data that do not meet the project limits will be flagged and/or rejected. Any rejected data will go against the project completeness objective. At a minimum,the following items will be reviewed: • holding times, • accuracy(LCS,calibration, and surrogates), • precision(duplicates), • sample integrity, • interferences, and • blank contamination. 5.7.3 Data Reporting Laboratory measurements will be recorded in standard formats that specify site location, sample identification, date,matrix parameter,parameter value,reporting limit, and detection limit. Data will be reported and flagged. Laboratory and field data will be combined and summarized in final tables and graphs that are appropriate to the type of data and convey information to support the findings of the data collection program. In all cases, data will be clearly tabulated and presented in a consistent way,to facilitate comparison of common sets of data. All soil data will be reported in dry weight. 5.7.4 Data Management All data will be reported by the laboratory in both electronic and hard copy formats. The data will be uploaded into the project database. The database will be populated with any qualifier flags added by the project chemist after validation. This electronic format will be available to project personnel in the various formats. In addition,the field and analytical data will be uploaded into the State Water Resources Control Board's GeoTracker online database. 5-8
