SA N O A Q U I N Environmental Health Department <br /> COUNTY <br /> 5. Individuals installing underground storage tank system components must possess or work <br /> under the direct and personal supervision of an individual physically present at the work site <br /> who possesses all of the following: <br /> a. A valid, current contractor's license issued by the Contractors State License Board, and <br /> b. A valid, current UST Installation/Retrofitting certificate issued by the International Code <br /> Council (ICC), and <br /> c. A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being <br /> installed. <br /> 6. All appropriate test ports must be installed to facilitate routine communication testing (e.g. at <br /> the beginning and end of each vacuum zone branch, and inside brine filled sumps, etc.). No <br /> additional shut off valves should be installed between the monitored interstitial spaces and their <br /> respective sensors. <br /> 7. All tank top openings that are connected to the primary space of the UST must have secondary <br /> containment, audible/visual alarm, and be vapor tight or terminate at grade. <br /> 8. Sumps and under dispenser containment must be constructed in a manner to prevent vapors <br /> from entering the backfill. <br /> 9. All secondary containment must be constructed to prevent water intrusion. <br /> 10. The secondary containment system must be continuously monitored as required under HSC <br /> 25290.1. <br /> 11. All components must be certified by an independent testing organization and labeled as <br /> required by the organization (UL, ULC, ANSI, API, ASTM, etc.). See California Code of <br /> Regulations (CCR) Title 23, Chapter 16, Table B for a complete list. <br /> 12. Permit expires 180 days from the date of approval.
