i
Kennedy/Jenks Consultants
2.3 Surrounding Land Uses
Neighboring properties were reviewed by conducting a survey of aerial photographs and
conducting a drive-by visual inspection during visits to the facility. Local land use consists of
vineyards, agricultural operations, and dairies.
Topography of the surrounding area is generally level. Irrigation canals along the southern edge F
of the facility transport Woodbridge Irrigation District water to local farmers. The onsite drainage I
ditches are not connected to nearby surface water. Regional surface drainage is to the
Mokelumne River and the facility is located within the Lower Mokelumne Hydrologic Area
(No. 531.20). The beneficial uses of the Mokelumne River include agricultural irrigation and
stock watering, contact recreation, canoeing and rafting recreation, other non-contact
recreation, warm and cold freshwater habitat, warm and cold water migration, warm and cold
water spawning, and wildlife habitat. However, berms located around the perimeter of the facility C
prevent onsite surface drainage from reaching nearby surface water bodies. rL
L
C
C
l
L
l
Page 8 Hydrogeologic Investigation and Groundwater Sampling and Analysis Work Plan,
Sutter Home Lodi Winery, Lodi, California
gVs-group)dminyob10066500506 wrterbomWSre aftwdr W"II d-Eyft work planikAdo
