Mr. Ted Wells -2 - 19 May 2015
Sutter Home Winery, Inc.
The proposed on-site disposal of soil cuttings and development water generated during well
drilling activities is acceptable, however all waste materials discharged much be contained
within the LAA and prevented from flowing off-site or into nearby surface waters.
Table 2 of the Work Plan provides a list of analytical parameters to be used during the initial
sampling of monitoring wells GW-5R and GW-6R. Upon the completion of monitoring well
replacement and development activities, future groundwater monitoring of GW-5R and GW-6R
shall be conducted in accordance with the Monitoring and Reporting Program for
R5-2009-0073 and the revision to these WDRs, which is expected to be adopted in June 2015.
The Monitoring Well Installation Report shall provide details of the methods used to destroy and
replace each well and will include copies of all permits issued by the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department. The attached Requirements for Monitoring Well Installation
Workplans and Monitoring Well Installation Reports provide a list of information to include in
your Monitoring Well Installation Report.
The Work Plan is hereby approved, provided work is completed as proposed and in accordance
with the contents of this letter and San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
permitting guidelines.
If you have any questions, please contact me at sarmstrono(a)-waterboards.ca.00v or at
(916) 464-4616.
SCOTT ARMSTRON , P.G., C.HG.
Engineering Geologist
Waste Discharge to Land Permitting Unit
enclosure: Requirements for Monitoring Well Installation Workplans and Monitoring Well
Installation Reports
cc: Rodney Estrada, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department, Stockton
Meredith Durant, Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, San Francisco
