GARAGE <br /> 715 North Hunter Street, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr. Duff: <br /> At the request of Mr. Vince Erardi of Erardi Ventures, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) is <br /> requesting a Fund Manager's Decision for the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) <br /> Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund (USTCF) suspension of the Letter of Commitment (LOC) <br /> for the site located at 715 North Hunter Street, Stockton, California (Site). <br /> The Claimant Has Been Damaged by the LOC Suspension <br /> • A remediation system was installed at the site in 2008 . The remediation system (dual-phase <br /> extraction) has been operational for several months . The DPE system requires a discharge <br /> fee and a connection fee on a monthlybasis (totaling approximately $ 1 ,500/month; $ 18,000 <br /> annually) from the City of Stockton, Additionally, the DPE system requires significant <br /> supplemental fuel (natural gas and electricity) for operation on a monthly basis; natural gas <br /> and electrical costs can be as great as $3 ,000 per month (up to $36,000 annually) . <br /> • Monthly monitoring and maintenance of the remediation system is approximately $20,000 <br /> annually. Quarterly ground water monitoring and reporting is approximately $30,000 <br /> annually. <br /> • Additional lateral and vertical assessment is also being required by the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department at the site. Additional assessment will include the <br /> installation of additional soil borings and monitoring wells .
