GROUND WATER DEPTH AND FLOW DIRECTION <br /> I <br /> Based on data obtained from the preliminary site assessment, the depth to ground water at the site <br /> f is approximately 20 to 25 feet below surface grade (bsg) . Based on data obtained from a nearby site <br /> (706 North El Dorado Street) the prevailing ground water flow direction in the vicinity of the site <br /> is estimated to be toward the northeast. <br /> 3.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> I _ I Based on the analytical results from the preliminary site assessment, AGE proposes the installation <br /> of four ground water monitoring wells and one deep soil boring to assess the vertical and lateral <br /> extent of impacted soil and ground water at the site. The assessment activities will consist of the <br /> following tasks : <br /> 10 Permitting and pre-field work preparations; <br /> Ja Drilling and soil sample collection; <br /> U Well installation, development and survey; <br /> u0 Ground water sample collection; <br /> • Preparation of a report of findings. <br /> ` - 3 . 1 . PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK PREPARATIONS <br /> I` l Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the San Joaquin County EHD. In addition, <br /> an update to the health and safety plan presently on-file will be prepared in accordance with <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National <br /> Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U. S . Coast Guard and U. S . <br /> Environmental Protection Agency, 1985). Prior to mobilization, each monitoring well location will <br /> be clearly marked and a utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert. <br /> LI <br /> 3 .2 . DRILLING AND SOIL SAMPLING <br /> I' <br /> AGE proposes to install four ground water monitoring wells to define the lateral extent of impacted <br /> soil and ground water at the site. In addition, AGE proposes to advance one deep soil boring to <br /> Advanced GeaEnvironmental, Inc. <br /> L�J <br />
