KEEENFELDER
i
4 ANALYTICAL RESULTS
Two soil samples from each boring were submitted for laboratory analysis, with the
exception of boring B-3 (Tank T1) in which three samples were submitted The additional
sample was submitted based on positive PID readings The samples were selected based
on field observations, qualitative screening results, and the objectives of the investigation.
The soil samples were submitted to Agricultural Priority Pollutants Laboratory (APPL)
Laboratory in Fresno. APPL is certified (#312) by the State of California Department of
Toxic Substances Control (formerly the Department of Health Services) for the analyses
' performed
' The samples were analyzed for
► Extractable total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) by EPA method 8015M/3550
► Purgeable TPH by EPA method 8015M/5030
► Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), by EPA method 8020
I. Ethylene dibromide (EDB) by EPA Method 8011
► Total lead (TITLC) by EPA Method 6010
' Tank T1
Kleinfeider sample numbers 61100, 61102, 61104, 61107, and 61109 were collected from
borings B-3 and B-4 drilled adjacent to Tank TI The analytical laboratory reported that
' sample numbers 61100, 61104, and 61109 contained 7 1, 7 8, and 7 2 mg/kg of lead
respectively, while sample numbers 61102 and 61107 were not reported to contain lead
' above the laboratory reporting limit (5 mg/kg) These reported lead concentrations are
significantly below the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Tale 22, Section 66699
Total Threshold Limit Concentration (T-[LC) of 1000 mg/kg, and well below ten times the
Soluble Threshold Limit Concentrations (STLC) which is a general guideline for
comparing total metal concentrations to soluble STLC regulatory values Neither
extractable TPH, purgeable TPH, BTEX, nor EDB analytes were detected above the
laboratory reporting limits for the samples submitted from the two borings drilled adjacent
' to tank TI.
1P
FR25-91-29 Page 7 of 11
' Copyright 1991 Klernfelder,Inc 6)
