Central Valley Construction
146 Klo Road, Lathrop - 2 - 8 February 2002
areas was also sampled on 14 November 2001 for the same constituents as above, and was non-detect for all
analyses. The groundwater flow direction as determined on 5 November 2001 is to the northeast at
0.0007 feet/feet. The on-site domestic well is cross gradient to MW-2 and the remaining soil contamination.
JCA concluded that they will continue monitoring and sampling for three additional quarters, and that the well
receptor survey still needs to be completed.
For the next quarterly monitoring report, which is due on or before 30 March 2002,please complete and submit
the following items:
• Analyze groundwater samples from the three monitoring wells and the on-site domestic well for TPHg
and TPHd by EPA Method 8015M, and for a full suite of volatile organic compounds by EPA Method
8260B analytes including fuel oxygenates, 1,2-dichloroethane, and ethylene dibromide, and report all
peaks. If fuel oxygenates are not detected in this next sampling event, you may request that they be
dropped from the constituent list.
• Analyze groundwater samples from the three monitoring wells for dissolved lead by appropriate methods,
and field filter the water samples.
• Provide the results of all soil sampling relating to the UST and AGT investigation in a table. The table
must include pre-excavation soil samples results collected in April 2001,post-excavation soil sample
results collected in August 2001,results from soil samples collected from monitoring well installation in
November 2001, and results from all additional soil samples collected for investigation of this project.
• Provide the results of all groundwater sampling relating to the UST and AGT investigation in a table. The
table must include the pre-excavation water sample result, results from water samples collected from the
on-site domestic well, and results of sampling the three on-site monitoring wells. The data must show
detection limits for samples analyzed.
• Complete a well receptor su'yey within 2,000 feet of the site, show all wells identified on a map,and
provide well construction details for all identified wells in a table.
• Submit a plan of work to define the lateral and vertical extent of soil contamination at the former AGT
area and estimate the mass of contamination remaining in soils. I suggest using a push probe type soil
sampling apparatus to define the vertical soil profile.
If you have any questions or comments, please call me at(916) 255-3115.
