The former AST area is close to the drinking water supply well for this site.
Analytical results of a water sample from thedrinking The maximum well concentration
the
presence of benzene at a concentration of .6 pp
allowed by the California Code of Regulations, for benzene, in drinking water
supplied to the public is 1 ppb. The well also contains ethyl benzene, xylenes
and total extractable petroleum hydrocarbons.
Motor Oil has been detected in the soil beneath the waste water sump and diesel
has been detected in the storm water retention pond.
PHS/EHD provides oversight for the investigation and remediation of
contaminated petroleum fuel UST sites, however, data from this investigation
indicate that an AST release contributed most of the contamination found at this
site. In addition there is contamination associated with the use of the waste
water sump and the storm water retention pond. Therefore PHS/EHD has
referred this site to the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
(CVRWQCB) for additional oversight.
For additional information please contact Steven Sasson or Margaret Lagorio at
(209) 468 - 3420.
Donna Heran, Director
Environmental Health Division
Steven Sasson, REHS Margaret Lagorio, REHS
Supervisor
cc: Wendy Cohen, CVRWQCB SLIC
cc: Gail Wigget, CVRWQCB AST
