* NOTE: Temporary storage of hazardous waste without a permit is limited to 90 days. <br /> Label all temporary storage containers with: <br /> (1) "Contents under Analysis" <br /> (2) The composition of the waste (soil, drilling, cuttings, etc.) <br /> (3) The nature of known contaminants and their hazardous properties; (e.g., soil <br /> contaminated with gasoline - inhalation and dermal hazard); <br /> (4) The name and address of the site; <br /> (5) The date of accumulation; and, <br /> (6) A phone contact for questions (the appropriate McLaren/Hart office) <br /> 59 Site Operating Procedures <br /> 5.9.1 Initial Site Operating Procedures <br /> • Locate nearest available telephone. Indicate location on Site Map (Attachment 1) <br /> • Determine wind direction, establish hotline, and set up decontamination facilities. Note <br /> wind direction and location of decontamination facilities on site map (Attachment 1) <br /> • Post Site Map (Attachment 1), Confirm and post emergency telephone numbers and route <br /> to hospital. <br /> • Designate at least one vehicle for emergency use. <br /> • If toilet facilities are not located within a 5-minute walk from the decontamination facilities, <br /> either provide a chemical toilet and hand washing facilities or have a vehicle available (not <br /> the emergency vehicle) for transport to nearby facilities. <br /> • Prior to working on-site, inspect the site for hazards (i.e. chemicals, spiders, electrical <br /> hazards). <br /> • Conduct or review utility clearance prior to start of work, if appropriate. <br /> 5.9.2 General Daily Operating Procedures <br /> 25 <br />
