If wastewater ponds exist on the site,
have they ever overflowed? If stor►nwater ponds exist, have they ever overflowed?
12) Allowing for two feet of freeboard, what is the approximate storage capacity of the wastewater
pond? Provide a water balance that evaluates the containment structures ability to provide
sufficient capacity on a month-by-month basis. Include monthly evaporation, precipitation,
and irrigation rates as well as monthly discharge volumes. Rainfall shall be based on the
100-year return period total annual precipitation.
13) Describe management provisions that will be implemented to prevent the occurrence of flies,
mosquitoes, and odor nuisances as well as problems such as pond overflows (maintenance
plans, standby pumps or generators, and contingency plans, etc.).
14) Describe the storage and disposal of all solid wastes generated in the processes. Include a
description of operation and maintenance procedures that prevent odor complaints, fly
breeding, or other nuisance condition.
15) If land disposal of wastewater is contemplated, present loading rates for BOD (in
lbs/acre/day), total nitrogen (in lbs/acre/year), and dissolved solids (in lbs/acre/year). Provide
a description of the disposal area and the disposal technique. State the number of acres of land
used for disposal and crops planned for application areas (show locations of land on map).
Include a cropping plan for any wastewater application area. (Note: Application of
wastewater to fallow land is not an acceptable disposal technique). Describe the mixing ratio
of wastewater and supplemental irrigation water prior to application, and describe the
tailwater control and return system.
16) Provide infonnation sufficient to determine whether this discharge of wastewater will
adversely impact underlying groundwater.
17) Before the Board can adopt WDRs for this discharge, the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) must be complied with. Will the County adopt a CEQA
document for this facility? If yes, give an anticipated date of adoption. If no, the Discharger
will be responsible for hiring a consultant to complete all the CEQA documents. If this is the
case, the naive of the consultant and the anticipated schedule for document completion shall
be submitted with the Report of Waste Discharge.
V\Szn_Jo.qufn_N..MS o1TQb,irnTSan Wash USAWlcg,c 18 Aug 03.d.
