A partially full aerosol paint can was observed in a trash barrel near the hazardous waste storage <br />area. Doug, who works for the facility, removed the aerosol can from the trash. Aerosol cans which are <br />not completely empty are universal waste or hazardous waste. Usually aerosol cans which appear to be <br />empty still contain some propellant which can make them flammable hazardous waste. Handle partially <br />full aerosol cans as universal waste or hazardous waste as specified in Title 22 California Code of <br />Regulations and keep recycling / disposal bill of ladings / manifests / records for three years. <br />2. Alkaline batteries and three computers were observed in the hazardous waste storage area. Dispose <br />of this universal waste within one year of generation as specified in Title 22 California Code of <br />Regulations and keep recycling / disposal bill of ladings / manifests / records for three years. <br />3. The EPA number application, small quantity generator modified contingency plan form, hazardous <br />waste training class schedule, hazardous waste labeling instructions and the County hazardous waste <br />disposal facility brochure were given to the operator. <br />4. The facility uses a vacuum sander on boat bottoms and the sanding waste is placed in hazardous <br />waste drums for disposal. <br />5. Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form with a statement of how <br />each violation was corrected, including supporting documentation, by June 11, 2011. <br />ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE ($122). <br />THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />EHD Inspector: <br />Received By: <br />Title: <br />L� �V"- (/ - <br />EHD 2 0 -003 Rev 08/10/10 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
