This addendum addresses San Joaquin County Public Health Services -
Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)comments to the Work Plan. The additions to the Work
Plan include the following:
• Collect and log a continuous soil core sample from at least one soil boring to evaluate the
soil profile at the site. During previous site investigations, descriptions of shallow subsurface
soil have not been consistent and are considered erroneous. Shallow subsurface soil at the
site has previously been reported to range from coarse-grained(sand)deposits'to fine-grained
(silt and clay)deposits.Accurate soil descriptions are required to evaluate shallow subsurface
soil and by drogeologic conditions at the site.
Relocate the previously proposed off-site soil boring/monitoring well location north of the
site boundary to an on-site location as shown on Figure 4. If impacts to soil and/or ground
water are encountered in the proposed boring Iocation, the originally proposed boring
location will be utilized for a soil boring and installation of the monitoring well. Soil and,
ground water .samples will be collected from .the boring(s) for laboratory analysis as
presented in the Work Plan.
• Advance an additional soil.boring in the vicinity of soil boring SB-I and monitoring well
boring MW-1 to assess petroleum hydrocarbon impacts to ground water on the eastern
portion of the site(Figure 4)..Previously reported analytical results for ground water samples
collected from S13-1 and MW-1 appear inconsistent. Collect ground water samples for
analysis from ,the proposed additional boring. Ground water sample analysis will be
consistent with the methods presented in the Work Plan.
4005 North Wilson Way, Stockton, California 95205
Telephone (209)467-1006 -,FAX.(209) 467-1 118
