AGE-NC Project,No..98-0468 " <br /> Page 2 of 11 <br /> The Modesto, Riverbank and Turlock Lake Formations and overlying recent alluvium are the <br /> i ' principal source of domestic ground 'water in the 13,500-square-mile San Joaquin Valley Ground <br /> Water Basin (Basin 5-22). This basin is drained primarily by the San Joaquin River. The nearest <br /> surface water feature in the vicinity of the property is the,,San Joaquin River approximately one=half <br /> ' mile southwest of the site. <br /> ' 2.1. GROUND WATER,DEPTH AND FLOW DIRECTION <br /> ' Based on data acquired from a previous investigation at the site,the estimated depth to ground water <br /> in the vicinity of the site is,10 to 12 feet below surface grade,(bsg).Based upon data obtained from , <br /> nearby sites, the prevailing ground water flow direction in the vicinity of the site is estimated to be <br /> ' north to northeast at a static gradient of 0.02. <br /> 2.2. RECEPTOR WELL'SURVEY <br /> A survey was performed to identify'potential receptor wells near the subject property. The City of <br /> ' Stockton and California Water Service .,were contacted for the location and construction <br /> specifications for municipal wells'near the site.A database from the California Department of Water <br /> ' Resources (DWR), driller's well log files and a well location map prepared by the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (SJCFC&WCD) were examined to locate <br /> wells near the site. A 2,000 foot search radius from the site was used. Owners/residents of nearby <br /> ' properties of the site were contacted regarding wells near the site. <br /> ' 2.3. . WELL SURVEY <br /> Drinking water at and near the site is currently supplied-by the City of Stockton.California Water <br /> ' Services well network. However,no California Water Service well is,within the 2,000-foot radius <br /> of the site. <br /> One monitoring well was located approximately 1,600 feet southeast,of the site. Monitoring well <br /> (MW-1) is located at the City of Stockton French Camp Landfill on Manthey Road, Stockton, <br /> California. MW-1 was'completed in December 1988 to,a depth of 53.7 feet bsg. MW-1 is screened <br /> from 52.9 feet to 33.5 feet bsg.Additional ground water monitoring wells are located on the landfill <br /> and surrounding area. No other wells were located within 2,000 feet of the subject property on the <br /> DWR database,well,log files or.the SJCFC&WCD map. No other wells were identified during the <br /> ' 2,000-foot physical survey.. <br /> ' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
