This basin is drained primarily by the San Joaquin River. The nearest
surface water feature in the vicinity of the property is the,,San Joaquin River approximately one=half
' mile southwest of the site.
' 2.1. GROUND WATER,DEPTH AND FLOW DIRECTION
' Based on data acquired from a previous investigation at the site, the estimated depth to ground water
in the vicinity of the site is,10 to 12 feet below surface grade,(bsg).Based upon data obtained from ,
nearby sites, the prevailing ground water flow direction in the vicinity of the site is estimated to be
' north to northeast at a static gradient of 0.02.
2.2. RECEPTOR WELL'SURVEY
A survey was performed to identify'potential receptor wells near the subject property. The City of
' Stockton and California Water Service .,were contacted for the location and construction
specifications for municipal wells'near the site.A database from the California Department of Water
' Resources (DWR), driller's well log files and a well location map prepared by the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (SJCFC&WCD) were examined to locate
wells near the site. A 2,000 foot search radius from the site was used. Owners/residents of nearby
' properties of the site were contacted regarding wells near the site.
' 2.3. . WELL SURVEY
Drinking water at and near the site is currently supplied-by the City of Stockton.California Water
' Services well network. However,no California Water Service well is,within the 2,000-foot radius
of the site.
One monitoring well was located approximately 1,600 feet southeast,of the site. Monitoring well
(MW-1) is located at the City of Stockton French Camp Landfill on Manthey Road, Stockton,
California. MW-1 was'completed in December 1988 to,a depth of 53.7 feet bsg. MW-1 is screened
from 52.9 feet to 33.5 feet bsg.Additional ground water monitoring wells are located on the landfill
and surrounding area. No other wells were located within 2,000 feet of the subject property on the
DWR database,well,log files or.the SJCFC&WCD map.
