INTRODUCTION <br /> ,t the request of the City of Stockton,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> report for monitoring well installation and ground water monitoring activities conducted at the Van <br /> Buskirk Golf Course maintenance facility (site) 'located at 1740 Houston Avenue, Stockton, <br /> California (Figure 1). <br /> The scope of work included installation and.development of three ground water monitoring wells <br /> and monitoring and sampling of five ground water monitoring-wells. The purpose of the ground <br /> ' water monitoring program is to .monitor site ground water for seasonal variations in elevation, <br /> gradient and flow direction, and to assess the impact of petroleum hydrocarbons and fuel <br /> oxygenating compounds on groundwater beneath the site. <br /> Site background information was.summarized in the AGE-prepared Additional Soil and Ground <br /> ' Water Assessment Work Plan, dated 31 July 2000, which was approved by the PHS-EHD by letter <br /> 04 August 2000. <br /> '• This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established in Appendix A to Tri-Regional <br /> Recommendations - Reporting,:dated 30 August 1991, prepared by the Central Valley Regional, <br /> Water Quality Control Board (Appendix A - Reports) for the invdstigation of UST sites. <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> ' i un - <br /> The work,was performed m accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health 'Services <br /> Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)-guidelines for ground water monitoring well sampling <br /> ' and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board guidelines for investigation of <br /> underground storage tank (UST) sites. <br /> 2.1. DRILLING AND SAMPLING <br /> On 28 November 2000, three soil borings were advanced,at the site. Each soil boring was advanced <br /> using a CME-75 drill rig, equipped with $.25-inch diameter hollow-stem augers. The drill rig and' <br /> two-man,crew were supplied-by Ha mat Drilling. Auger returns generated,by drilling were . <br /> '1 stockpiled on site, pending laboratory analysis. <br /> Soil samples.were collected ahead of the drill bit using a California modified split-spoon sampler . <br /> 'loaded with three pre-cleaned 2=inch by 6-inch brass sleeves.
