Based on that meeting, most of the litigants reached a tentative settlement, <br /> which settlement is contingent on the County's closure of the site. Judge Hollows directed <br /> Texaco to take the lead on�behalf.of the stittling pa.-ties incl taining•closure fora the County . <br /> and stayed the litigation pending the outcome ofthe-closure'process.V The stay'expires on <br /> May i 5, 1997. <br /> Texaco requested closure of the site in a letter to the County dated May 22, <br /> 1996.
