The log for this well is not available because"Uriah went out of business. Between Jan � January arid June 1993,EPM`Technologies operated th�e vapor extraction system and extracted 3,333 lbs of fuel hydrocarbons. Ground water samples collected in Jana 1993 from all three wells l 3 contained TPHg and BTEX constituents. MTBE and solvents were tested in MWI,only;MTBE was detected at 550 ppb and 1,2-DCA,PCE,and 1,2-DCE were also detected. No report regarding these activities is in our file: F The Commissioner of Corporations of the Mate of California closed City Thrift on 9 July 1993 and,on the same day,,appointed the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation(FDIC)receiver for City Thrift. The Togo's property was awned by City Thrift at the time of its closure and was sold by the FDIC to Dolores Staudenraus the ccuxent`ro _,, o Prior to selling the property in 1993, FDIC amended the City Thrift complaint to include Mel Bckides ii Petroleum(MBP),the owners and operators of the property upgradient and across the street,at 501 West Lodi. MBP then filed a complaint against the former owners an&operators of 501 West Lodi,;including Autotronic Systems. i In April 1994,two 25 foot borings(DTB1 and DTB2)were drilled and soil samples collected from the bottoms of the borings. No contamination was detected in the bating near the tank pit,however,2600 ppm TPHg was detected near thepumpislands. No report or logs for the borings is in our file. t i� In July 1994,FDICs consultant, Geocon drilled 5 additional borings(GB-1 through G8-5). Sail contamination,at up 2800 ppm TPHg,was found between 17 and 43 feet in three of the borings. A report regarding this investigation"Interim Environmental Assessment Status Report",dated.31 August } 1994,is not in our file. In November 1994, Geocon drilled 6 borings(GB-6 through GB-1.1),converted 5 to vapor extraction wells(VW-2 through VW-5),and drilled 2 new off-site monitoring wells(MW-4. and 1i ,5). Soil contamination was again detected between 15 and 35 feet at up 6700 ppm TPHg, under the existing building. r -Using-existing s ail-data, t--Sesoil-.�r odelinguresults..ind cated,that be-nzene-reaches-g ound,water-in 3 y years and increases until year 4,when it begins to decrease. However,the Sesoil model assumes all precipitation infiltrates to ground water;this site is paved and there is no infiltration. Tex=6 has been designated by the court to direct any remaining investigation'and cleanup activities for the ; defendants.
