To install two 4 inch diameter ground water extraction wells (EW) on-site south of the former <br /> UST. The wells are located in a down-gradient direction of the source area of contamination. <br /> 2. The EWs will be developed, surveyed, and piped to an existing compound. Down-hole <br /> .ground water pumps will be installed in the two EWs and the piping will be connected to an <br /> vapor stripper and carbon filters. Both vapor and ground water will be treated to remove <br /> gasoline contaminants, including MTBE, prior to,appropriate discharge. <br /> 3. Ground water and vapor influent and effluent wills be monitored and tested to meet all <br /> discharge requirement set by the permitting agencies. <br /> 4. Quarterly reports will be prepared and submitted documenting remedial progress. This <br /> information can be included in the standard Quarterly Monitoring Reports to minimize required <br /> document/reporting submittals. <br /> 5. Quarterly ground water monitoring and samples utilizing the existing MWs should continue. <br /> Groundwater samples collected will be analyzed Ifor: TPH-gas, BTEX, and fuel additives <br /> including MTBE. <br /> 6. EHD approves AGE's recommendation to reduced sampling frequency on MWs located <br /> outside the ground water plume to an annual event. <br /> COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS: <br /> 1. All required permits must be procured prior to beIginning work. An EHD permit application for <br /> the installation of the two EWs must-be submitted by April 14, 2008. <br /> 2. The EWs must be installed byJune*14, 2008. <br /> 3. The EWs must be ready for pumping and the remedial system ready to receive and treat <br /> ground water by Aug. 1, 2008 without delays. The report of remedial progress must be <br /> prepared and included in the 4th Quarter Monitoring Report for 2008. <br /> 4. EHD rescinds approval of the Work Plan for the installation of an ozone well.
