04 December 2006 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 99-0624 <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> REMEDIATION OF SHALLOW GROUND WATER <br /> AGE has decided to pursue ground water remediation at the site utilizing ground water pump-and- <br /> treat technology (i.e. above ground treatment at the slite); AGE is proposing to treat gasoline- <br /> impacted ground water above ground utilizing an air stripper and a carbon filtration system. <br /> Following treatment,all ground water discharged into the sanitary system would meet or exceed the <br /> California drinking water standards. <br /> AGE has successfully performed many ground water pump-and-treat clean-up projects throughout <br /> the'San JoaquinValley while discharging into municipal sanitary sewer systems. Plie following are '" --- - T <br /> a list of active gasoline cleanup sites that are currently on-going in San Joaquin County; additional <br /> information for each project can be forwarded to your office upon your request: <br /> • Rainwater Car Wash, 420 West Yosemite Avenue, Manteca CA: pump-and-treat <br /> technology being utilized to remediate gasoline-impacted ground water with carbon <br /> filtration. Treated water discharged into City Manteca sanitary sewer system. <br /> • Top Filling Station, 101 South Wilson Way,Stockton CA:pump-and treat technology being <br /> utilized to remediate gasoline-impacted ground water with an air stripper and carbon <br /> filtration system. Treated water discharged into city Stockton sanitary sewer system. <br /> • Flag City Chevron, 6421 Capitol Avenue, Lodi CA: pump-and-treat technology being <br /> utilized to remediate gasoline-impacted ground water with a carbon filtration system.Treated <br /> water discharged into storm drain system. <br /> • Pacific Mini-Mart, 4511 Pacific Avenue, Stockton CA: pump-and treat technology being <br /> utilized to remediate gasoline-impacted ground water with a carbon filtration system.Treated <br /> water discharged into city Stockton sanitary sewer system. <br /> -A-GE-previously submitted a wastewater discliarge pe it application to your off ce inrAptil"2006; <br /> however, AGE has not received a status update regarding application. As stated above, AGE is <br /> anticipating a 2 to 5 year duration for the remediation project; furthermore, AGE is seeking to <br /> connect to the on-site domestic sewer-line.Do to the short(temporary)duration of the project,AGE <br /> would like a variance to the above referenced sewer connection fee.
