(CSI). In this addendum, CSI proposes the excavation of an
area approximately 30 feet north to south, and approximately 60 feet east to west that
includes the re-excavation of the former.tank area, and soil currently beneath the
prefabricated building, to remove the free-phase, dissolved, and adsorbed contaminants.
The building would need to be moved for the excavation to be fully implemented. CSI
also proposes to install two additional groundwater monitoring wells, one located
approximately ten feet southwest of monitoring well MW-3R, and one located
approximately 40 feet southeast of MW-14,to total depths of approximately 40 feet
below surface grade (leg), to define t e vertical extent butyl ether(MTBE).
nzene,toluene, ethyl
benzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), gasoline, and methyl-tertiary
EHD approves the installation of one deep-screened monitoring well toapproximaprovided soil samples
feet bsg to be located approximately ten feet southwest of MW-3R,
are collected at five-foot intervals or the boring is continuously cored for lithological
is screened in the more permeable
evaluation to ensure k et the monitoring lan for the well installation to EHD by November 24,20041= J` 4
Please provide a w p tt Ls
EHD cannot approve soil excavation for remediation of petroleum hydrocarbons and rµt
the installation of the second groundwater monitoring
oxygenates beneath the site, nor
well at this time.
