1
with the condition that a work plan be submitted for the proposed well destructions.
The consulting firm, EnviroMonitoring Services, Inc. (EMS), is relatively new to this site and Mr. Masoudi,
the consultant, requested that all of the wells be sampled by low-flow/micro-purge method during the recent
sampling event. Up until now, the wells had been sampled by disposable bailers. Looking at the analytical
data from May 2014, 1 believe that a number of wells, in addition to the ones that you have proposed in
your email below, may be able to be removed from the list of wells that are sampled semi-annually or
biennially. I will discuss this matter with Mr. Nuel Henderson, PG, prior to sending a letter directing the
omission of some wells from the sampling event.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Phone: (209)468-9852
Email: vmccartnev(asicehd.com
From: Khandwala, Jatin@Waterboards fmailto:Jatin.Khandwala@waterboards.ca.00v]
Sent: Tuesday, September 09, 2014 10:30 AM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Subject: Frontier Transportation - 425 Larch,Tracy. (Claim 12886 and Case 2251
Hi Vicki, how are you? I am in the process of reviewing reimbursement request (RR)for the above
referenced claim/site.
Apparently, they had submitted a work plan for MW destruction and remediation for MTBE. Based
on the available info it seems that original draft proposal was made sometime during the Month of
February 2014. You had provided your input/response on March 20, 2014.
Based on my review of your letter it seems that bulk of the proposal made by them was approved.
However, there were some suggestion regarding few items. Is that correct?
Also, they proposed to destroy some wells. They did Q2 GWM in May 2014. Review of GWM data
indicated that there are quite a few wells with ND values....
MW21V , 18d,2424, and DPE8.
Is if possible to discontinue monitoring those?
Jatin
9/10/2014
