Vapor from both
the ASVE and the SVE system is abated with a 750 scfm thermal oxidizer.
Since May 31, 2007 the 750 scfm SVE and ASVE vapor abatement system has been operated
under SJVAPCD permit number N-4878-2-0.
3.3.2 Soil Vapor Extraction Operational and Analytical Data—4Q10
During 4Q10 (September 15, 2010 to December 14, 2010) the SVE system removed
approximately 9.1 pounds (1.5 gallons) of TPHg soil vapor. No measurable amount of benzene
or MtBE was detected or removed. To date, the SVE system has removed approximately
2,317 pounds (380 gallons) of TPHg and 0.14 pound (0.02 gallon) of benzene from soil vapor
beneath the L&M OU.
