San Joaquin County Page 1 Phase II Assessment Work Plan
Public Health Services Tracy, California
Environmental Health Division 7 August 2000
Introduction
The purpose of this work plan is to describe the proposed scope of work attendant to conducting
soil and groundwater sampling at a parcel located adjacent to the northwest corner of West Grant
Line Road and Naglee Road, in the city of Tracy, San Joaquin County, California (the subject
property). Roy F. Weston, Inc. (WESTON®) has been retained by Home Depot, U.S.A., Inc. to
conduct further Phase II Environmental Site Assessment at the above referenced property.
WESTON conducted a Phase II investigation on the western portion of the parcel in May 1999,
where Home Depot plans to construct a retail store. Home Depot is now considering the
purchase of the remaining part of the parcel and wishes to conduct an additional Phase II
investigation. The objective of the additional assessment is to determine if impacts to soil and/or
groundwater may have occurred from past agricultural use of the property or nearby historical
presence of petroleum pipelines.
This Phase H assessment will consist of advancing direct push borings in order to sample soil and
groundwater in three locations on the subject property. Composite soil samples will be collected
from surface soils with a hand trowel from three areas of the subject property. Laboratory
analysis for potential contaminants will be performed on selected representative soil and
groundwater samples.
The site identification information is as follows:
Property Owner
Grantline Road Tracy Associates
c/o Colliers International
5050 Hopyard Road, Suite 180
Pleasanton, CA 95488
Contact: Mr. John S.
