Soil Suitability/ Nitrate Loading Study Irerracon
Jeremy Winery Lodi, CA
May 7, 2019 Terracon Project No. NA197008
to 60 inches sandy loam. Refer to Section 2.1 for further discussion of the soil information. In
general, the geology at the site agrees with the classification except that the soils on site are not
well draining given the soil is cemented in placed and stiff to hard which significantly reduces
permeability.
1.5.1 Soil Boring Locations
Terracon reviewed the Site Plan prepared by NJA Architecture dated February 7, 2019. Based
on a review of the site plan, the proposed primary and reserve Ieachfields will be located east of
the proposed building along the southern portion of the site and greater than 100 feet north of the
Mokelumne River. The percolation test borings (131, B2, and 133) were placed near the anticipated
primary and reserve Ieachfields (Refer to Exhibit 2).
Table 4.
Soil Boring Locations.
Boring No. Latitude Longitude
131 38.177058 -121.167746
B2 38.177243 -121.167510
B3 38.177136 -121.167836
Refer to Appendix A, Exhibit 2 for the boring locations.
1.5.2 Soil Boring Dimensions
Soil borings B1 through B3 were advanced with a track mounted drill rig utilizing an 8 inch
diameter auger. Borings B1 and B2 were advanced to 3.5 feet bgs and B3 was advanced to 25
feet bgs.
1.5.3 Soil Lithology Observed
The following table presents a log of the soil boring(s).
Table 5.
Summary of Soil Lithology.
Boring Depth Interval Soil Type Unified Soil
(feet) Classification
61 3.5 Sandy silt, fine grained, brown, ML
stiff to very stiff
62 3.5 Sandy silt, fine grained, brown, ML
stiff to very stiff
Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 9
