Soil Suitability / Nitrate Loading Study Irerracon ,
Jeremy Winery :-. Based on a review of the Geotechnical Engineering
Report dated April 26, 2019 (Terracon Project No. NA195021), the soils encountered on the site
consisted of medium stiff to hard silt with various amounts of sand, loose to very dense sand with
various amounts of silt, and very stiff to hard lean clay with various amounts of sand and silt.
Generally speaking, coarse-grained soil has a greater potential for percolation than fine-grained
or cemented soil.
Terracon searched the DWR online Well Completion Records for additional information regarding
soil lithology within 0.5 miles of the site. The following water supply well was identified nearest
the site.
Table 6.
Well Completion Reports.
WCR Number Latitude Longitude Depth Approximate
Feet Distance/Direction from Site
WCR1776-012306 38.179722 -121.169167 322 160 feet/ North
Based on a review of the Well Completion records, the soils within the vadose zone (between 0
to 90 feet bgs) are anticipated to consist of clay, gravel, and/or sand strata. Refer to Appendix G
for a copy of the Well Completion record.
Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 10
