} <br /> Preliminary Phase II Site Assessment Work Plan <br /> GRANTLINE AUTO CENTER <br /> 541 West Grantline Road, Tracy, California <br /> 1 . 0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Tom Brenkwitz, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc . (AGE) has prepared the <br /> enclosed Preliminary Site Phase H Assessment Work Plan for the property at 541 West Grantline <br /> Road, Tracy, California (the site) . The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 . A plan of the site <br /> is illustrated on Figure 2 . <br /> This workplan is prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS -EHD for the procurement of a soil boring permit. The <br /> investigation is being performed to determine if soil and/or ground water has been impacted by <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons from surrounding sites . Therefore, the work plan is prepared in accordance <br /> with Appendix A to Tri-Regional Recommendations - Reporting, dated 30 August 1991 , prepared <br /> by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (Appendix A - Reports) for the <br /> investigation of UST sites . <br /> 2 . 0. GROUND WATER DEPTH AND FLOW DIRECTION <br /> Based on the San Joaquin County Flood Control District and Water Conservation District Lines of <br /> Equal Depth of Water Wells Fall 1998 map, the estimated depth to groundwater in the vicinity of <br /> the site is 20 to 30 feet below surface grade (bsg) . <br /> Based upon data obtained from nearby sites, the prevailing ground water flow direction in the <br /> vicinity of the site is estimated to be north-northwest. However, flow direction may be both locally <br /> and seasonably variable . <br /> 3 . 0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> AGE proposes to collect soil and. discrete ground water samples to determine if petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon-impacted soil and/or ground water is present beneath the site. The preliminary site <br /> assessment will consist of the following tasks . <br /> • Permitting and pre field work activities ; <br /> • Soil sample collection and analysis; <br /> • In- situ ground water sample collection and analysis ; <br /> Report preparation. <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmentai, Inc. <br />
