I spoke with Laura Sanchez yesterday to confirm the status and
asked if OK to final the permit. She requested I keep it open til you folks in the office
determine if additional samples are, or are not needed. If I don't hear from you by July
31, 2006, I'II assume you have what you need and won't need to return to the field and I
will final off the permit.
From: JEFFREY.D.WHITE@saic.com [mailto:JEFFREY.D.WHITE@saic.com]
Sent: Thursday, July 06, 2006 12:35 PM
To: Mike Infurna [EH]
Cc: Weekley, Caryl Anne; Sanchez, Laura E.
Subject: Catellus Property Soil and Groundwater Investigation
Hi Mike,
I wanted to let you know, in all likelihood, we are finished with the field investigation. I don't know if the guys and
gal were homesick or what, but the pace picked up at the end of last week, and they finished last Friday. In all,
we advanced and grouted—using the methods you observed during your site visit—a total of 31 borings (SB-1
through SB-20, SB-23, SB-24, SB-26, SB-27, SB-31, SB-32, SB-36, SB-37, SB-39, SB-46, and SB-51).
The next step, once we receive lab results, will be to start the report and get it to the Water Board before the
August 30 deadline.
If you have any question, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Many thanks,
Jeffrey D.
