Soil Suitability/ Nitrate Loading Study Addendum Irerracon
Arriaga Property Stockton, California
August 31, 2020 Terracon Project No. NA207046
SOIL SUITABILITY / NITRATE LOADING STUDY ADDENDUM
ARRIAGA PROPERTY
APN 181-060-09
10966 E. MARIPOSA ROAD
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
TERRACON PROJECT NUMBER: NA207046
Our office was contacted by Ms. Carla Arriaga to conduct a Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study
(SS/NLS)for the property at 10966 E. Mariposa Road, Stockton, California, San Joaquin County
(SJC). The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible,
San Joaquin County, Environmental Health Department (EHD) Soil Suitability Study
Requirements Checklist, dated September 25, 2007 and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements
Checklist, dated July 14, 2003.
1.0 SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY
1.1 Introduction and Development
The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether site soils are suitable for
septic system usage. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9-
110.05.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work
included conducting percolation tests that meet absorption rates as specified by EHD. A review
of published soil information, geologic maps, and groundwater information was also performed.
1.1.1 Site Description
The site consists of an approximately 1.25-acre tract of partially developed land located at 10966
E. Mariposa Road, Stockton, California,San Joaquin County, California, Assessor Parcel Number
» (APN) 181-060-09. Based on client interviews, the site is improved with an existing approximately
1.246 square foot (SF) two bedroom residence, septic system and groundwater well.
According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer the site is zoned limited agricultural (AL).
Based on a review of the San Joaquin County Community Development Department the
AL zoning designation is intended to "recognize and preserve areas that contain existing
concentrations of small scale agricultural operations and dwellings."
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Stockton East California Quadrangle
dated 1987, the elevation of the site is between approximately 50 and 55 feet above mean sea
level with a topographic gradient generally sloping towards the west.
— Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 3
