Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan
Paragon#00-3737
The enclosed sketch map (based on Stockton Assessor's Map 071-20) and digitized aerial photograph
depict the proposed monitoring well locations at the Site. The Site is located on Lot 14, which includes
two other buildings (not shown on the sketch plan). The three buildings together comprise "The
Landing" shopping center.
Based on my measurements off the sketch map, the proposed boring locations are the following
perpendicular distances from Mariners Drive (to the west) and Shoreline Drive (to the south, curving off
to the southeast):
Location Feet East of Mariners Drive Feet North of Shoreline Drive
From Property Line From Centerline From Property Line From Centerline
P-1 84 146 43 73
P-2 75 137 5 35
P-3 112 174 5 35
P-4 94 156 130 160
P-5 46 108 44 74
P-6 139 201 30 60
It may be necessary to adjust the boring locations slightly to avoid underground utilities or overhead
obstructions. The proposed boring numbers designate decreasing priority. If Spectrum is able to install
only five wells in two days of drilling, we will omit P-6.
Protocols
Paragon has enclosed our standard protocols for:
• Soil Borings in Overburden Soils;
• Well Installations in Overburden Soils;
• Decontamination Protocols for Non-Disposable Sampling and Field Equipment;
• Soil Sample Headspace Screening; and,
• Groundwater Sampling.
We intend to follow these protocols as far as practicable. However, we recognize that local regulatory
agencies such as yours may on occasion require modification of our standard protocols. Therefore,
Paragon invites you to comment regarding any such modifications that you deem appropriate.
Depending on the observed water table elevation, Paragon will likely install shallow groundwater
monitoring wells no greater than 15 feet below grade in accordance with our "Well Installations in
Overburden Soils" protocol. However, since PCE is denser than water, we may elect to install deeper
3422 West Hammer Lane,Stockton,California
—Page 2—
