Spectrum used a 2'/2-inch diameter split spoon fitted with three, 6-inch long by 2- <br /> inch diameter brass tube inserts to obtain the samples. Paragon field-screened the soil <br /> samples for TOV using a PID. We generally followed our standard protocols (see <br /> Appendix D). (Zymax) of San Luis <br /> Obispo, California for laboratory VOC analysis. Laboratory analyses of soil samples did <br /> not identify any VOCs above method detection limits. Appendix E presents Zymax <br /> certificates of analysis and chain of custody documentation. <br /> 4.2 Groundwater Monitoring Wells <br /> Immediately following advancement of each soil boring, Paragon oversaw the <br /> installation of a groundwater monitoring well in each (designated PES-1 through PES-6). <br /> Spectrum constructed these wells of Schedule 40, two-inch diameter polyvinyl chloride <br /> casing with 0.01-inch slotted screen. We generally followed our standard protocols (see <br /> Appendix D), except we grouted the annular space from the bentonite seal to grade with <br /> cement, in accordance with PHS-EHD requirements.
