00-3737 Paragon collected continuous 1'/2-foot soil samples at boring location P-1, and 1%2-foot soil samples approximately every five feet during the advancement of the other five soil borings. Spectrum used a 2'/2-inch diameter split spoon fitted with three, 6-inch long by 2- inch diameter brass tube inserts to obtain the samples. Paragon field-screened the soil samples for TOV using a PID. We generally followed our standard protocols (see Appendix D). Table 4 below summarizes PID readings. (Zymax) of San Luis Obispo, California for laboratory VOC analysis. Laboratory analyses of soil samples did not identify any VOCs above method detection limits. Appendix E presents Zymax certificates of analysis and chain of custody documentation. 4.2 Groundwater Monitoring Wells Immediately following advancement of each soil boring, Paragon oversaw the installation of a groundwater monitoring well in each (designated PES-1 through PES-6). Spectrum constructed these wells of Schedule 40, two-inch diameter polyvinyl chloride casing with 0.01-inch slotted screen. We generally followed our standard protocols (see Appendix D), except we grouted the annular space from the bentonite seal to grade with cement, in accordance with PHS-EHD requirements.
