WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS - GENERAL ORDER -8- <br /> U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS AND THE PORT OF STOCKTON <br /> STOCKTON DEEP WATER SHIP CHANNEL MAINTENANCE DREDGING ACTIVITIES <br /> MILE 4.4 TO MILE 41.0, CONTRA COSTA, SACRAMENTO&SAN JOAQUIN COUT?TIES <br /> 9. Deposition of material that causes nuisance or adversely affects beneficial uses. <br /> 10. The normal ambient temperature to increase more than 5'F. <br /> 11. Taste or odor-producing substances to impart undesirable tastes or odors to fish <br /> flesh or other edible products of aquatic origin or to cause nuisance or adversely <br /> affect beneficial uses. <br /> 12. Violation of any applicable water quality standard for receiving waters adopted <br /> by the Board or the SWRCB pursuant to the CWA and regulations adopted <br /> thereunder. <br /> F. PROVISIONS: <br /> 1. The Discharger shall submit an Operation Plan for each Dredge Material <br /> Disposal Site, this technical report shall describe site operations and procedures <br /> to be followed before, during and after maintenance dredging sediment disposal. <br /> The DMD site's Operation Plan must be submitted with the Project Application <br /> Requirements the first time a DMD site is to receive dredged sediments. <br /> Subsequent use of the DMD site for dredge material disposal, need only submit <br /> updated topographical site plans and any proposed modifications to the Operation <br /> Plan. <br /> 2. The Discharger shall conduct the Chronic toxicity monitoring specified in the <br /> Monitoring and Reporting Program. The Discharger shall also submit for <br /> approval within 60 days of adoption of this Order, a work plan to conduct a <br /> Toxicity Reduction Evaluation (TRE). The Discharger shall implement the TRE <br /> immediately should the chronic toxicity testing indicate the discharge is causing <br /> instream toxicity. <br /> 3. The Dischargers may be required to submit other technical reports as directed by <br /> the Executive Officer. <br /> 4. The Dischargers shall comply with the attached Monitoring and Reporting <br /> Program No. 94-180. <br />
