Mr. Stephen Donell - 2 - 23 October 2012
Central Valley Water Board staff estimate that the following work will be performed for the
subject site during the 2012-13 fiscal year:
1. Review the 25 April 2012 Limited Phase l/Environmental Site Assessment Report and the
19 September 2012 Addendum To Limited Phase 11 Environmental Site Assessment Report.
2. Review work plans for additional investigation to determine the extent of soil and
groundwater pollution.
3. Review monitoring reports to determine if additional investigation is needed.
4. Conduct site inspections, phone calls and meetings to keep informed on the progress of the
investigation.
5. Prepare written correspondence, including monitoring programs, review memos, and Board
orders (if needed) to clearly communicate the Board's requirements.
Board staff expect to charge approximately 25 hours in the conduct of cleanup oversight for this
project during the remainder of fiscal year 2012-13, which runs from 1 July 2012 through 30
June 2013. This includes 3 hours we have already spent on this site since 1 July. The number
of hours given is merely an estimate, and you will be billed only for the actual hours spent. The
State billing rate is about $150 per hour, but the rate will vary depending on the salary of the
individual(s) responsible for the oversight. Based on the average rate, the estimated billing
charge for this site is about $ 3750 for fiscal year 2012-13. Attachment 1 lists the billing rates
for the classes of employees that may be working on this site, including an example of how the
hourly billing rate is calculated. Attachment 2 describes the billing process in detail.
Should you have any questions regarding the information in this letter, please call Gerald Djuth
at (916) 464-4677.
PAMELA C. CREEDON
Executive Officer
Attachments (3)
cc: John Yoakum, San Joaquin Co. Environmental Health Dept, Stockton
Peter Cloven, Pinnacle Environmental, Inc., Clayton
