MORADA PRODUCE COMPANY
LINDEN PACKING SHED
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
The September 2002 RWD included an odor control contingency for the wastewater storage
pond. If the pond generates odors, or if the dissolved oxygen level is less than 1.0 mg/L, then an
aerator will be added to the pond
The depth to groundwater is approximately 95 feet below ground surface and flows to the south-
southeast, although locally, groundwater depth and flow may be influenced by local pumping
and irrigation patterns. A groundwater sample was collected from the on-site well that serves the
facility. Nitrate as nitrogen was reported in the sample at a concentration of 4.0 mg/L. These WDRs
require installation of groundwater monitoring wells and monitoring of shallow groundwater
conditions, including background water quality and direction of groundwater movement
throughout the year.
These waste discharge requirements contain hydraulic, organic, and nutrient loading limits for the
land application areas, a time schedule for preparation of an Industrial Stormwater Permit,
Groundwater Monitoring Workplan and Well Installation Report, an Operation and Maintenance
Plan, and an evaluation of groundwater quality.
TRO: 9/25/2003
V:\Sm Joaquin Nw15\SufT\Obrim'RSm luaquiu\Foppim UNFO.doc
