A mouthpiece escape respirator with proper cartridge will be in the immediate <br /> possession of anyone entering the plant. An escape respirator is not required to <br /> enter the admin building or admin parking lot. Escape respirators for admin <br /> building visitors are maintained in the Conference room %�U t� PAW ed- <br /> 2. Safety hard hats and safety glasses with side shields must be worn in all plant <br /> areas except in offices, change houses,parking lots, smoking areas, and <br /> lunchrooms. <br /> 3. Safety steel-toes (or equivalent)must be worn by all bleach plant personnel and <br /> contract employees while working in the process and maintenance areas. Safety <br /> steel toed shoes with good ankle support should be worn in the railyard gravel <br /> areas. All others must wear sturdy shoes while visiting those areas (Leather or the <br /> equivalent is recommended. No sandals, canvas shoes, open-toed footwear, etc. <br /> are allowed.) While working in the process and maintenance areas trousers must <br /> be ankle length and shirttails must be tucked in. <br /> 4. Contact lenses may not be worn in the maintenance or plant process areas <br /> 5. Plant goggle areas are marked with signage and the goggle area boundaries clearly <br /> identified. Goggles must be worn in these areas at all times. <br /> 6. Hearing protection areas are marked with signage and hearing protection must be <br /> worn in these areas at all time <br /> 7. All visitors and contract personnel will be signed in and out of the facility. This <br /> includes anyone coming on site for deliveries or pickup. Bleach plant personnel <br /> are responsible for checking in and out with their supervisor. Be sure the security <br /> guard sees you enter and exit so he can properly complete the headcount log. <br /> 8. Smoking is not permitted except outside in designated smoking areas. One <br /> smoking area is located in the parking lot near the corner of the fence line. The <br /> other smoking area is marked by a line West of bleach loading in the former gas <br /> house building. All cigarette butts should be disposed of in the designated <br /> receptacles. <br /> 9. No open lighters, flames, welding, or spark producing devices are permitted <br /> without a hot work permit. Hot work must be performed per Division policy <br /> D3.2.01. Guns are not permitted on the property without written Plant Manager <br /> approval for use in reducing the pigeon population. <br /> 10. Immediately report all injuries or potential injuries to your supervisor. The <br /> Henderson Plant Nurse must also be immediately notified of all injuries to assist <br /> in the determination if medical evaluation or treatment is needed. <br /> Printed copies of this document are Uncontrolled <br />
