Daily inspections he f&&i4Wf4"mIy <br /> wta r oPrrinnc The owner or operator shall inspect, at least once each operating day, all of the <br /> following: <br /> (1) overfill/spill control equipment (e.g., waste-feed cutoff systems, bypass systems, drainage <br /> systems) to ensure that it is in good working order <br /> (2) the aboveground portions of the tank system to detect corrosion or releases of waste <br /> (3) data gathered from monitoring equipment and leak-detection equipment (e.g., pressure and <br /> temperature gauges, monitoring wells) to ensure that the tank system is being operated <br /> according to its design <br /> (4) the construction materials and the area immediately surrounding the externally accessible portion <br /> of the tank system including secondary containment structures (e.g., dikes), to detect erosion or <br /> signs of releases of hazardous waste (e.g., wet spots, dead vegetation) <br /> Immediately begin conducting the necessary daily inspections for all hazardous waste tanks at this <br /> facility. Submit a copy of the inspection logs to the EHD by May 17, 2013. <br /> 605. A 55 gallon black steel drum of oily solids was observed without a hazardous property marked. All <br /> hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> 1. the words "Hazardous Waste' <br /> 2. name and address of generator <br /> 3. hazardous properties (flammable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br /> 4. physical state (liquid, solid) <br /> 5. composition (contents) <br /> 6. accumulation start date <br /> The label was corrected at the time of inspection. Ensure that all hazardous waste containers are <br /> marked with all the required information. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification to the EHD by May 17, 2013 <br /> along with a statement documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each <br /> violation and any supporting paperwork. <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> EHD Inspector.
