Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Attention: Site Mitigation Unit
Subject: Environmental Site Assessment
Lodi Food and Liquor
1225 West Lockford Street
Lodi, CA 95240
Please be advised that Construction Testing and Engineering, Inc. (CTE) has been
contracted to perform a preliminary environmental site assessment for the above
referenced subject site prior to a property acquisition by our client, Mr. Amerik
Singh. The following is a brief outline detailing the work proposed.
Site Description
The subject site is located on the northeast corner of West Lockford Street and Ham
Lane in Lodi, San Joaquin County, California. The business operating onsite is a
mini-mart convenience store with associated gasoline fuel sales. There are currently
three gasoline underground storage tanks (USTs) onsite to the southeast, with four
dispensers located in an island to the west of the building. A site plan is included
showing the layout of the property.
Field Investigation
The scope of work proposed consists of drilling three, six-inch diameter 20-foot
borings around the UST locations, and a six-inch diameter six-foot boring near the
pump island. The locations of the proposed borings may be found on the site plan
figure. All borings will be done by Frontier Drilling of Modesto using a hollow-stem
auger B-61 drill rig, and will be completed under the direct supervision of a CTE
geologist. Underground Service Alert will be notified prior to any field work.
Soil samples will be collected at 15 and 20 feet respectively in the 20-foot borings,
and at three and six feet in the shallower boring. However, more samples may be
collected at CTE's discretion dependent upon field observations and conditions at the
time of drilling. All sampling equipment will be cleaned prior to each sampling
interval, and clean auger will be used in all four borings.
GEOTECHNICAL& CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING TESTING & INSPECTION
2414 VINEYARD AVENUE SUITE G ESCONDIDO, CA 92029(619)746-4955 FAX (619)746-9806
3540 OAKDALE ROAD MODESTO, CA 95355 (209)551.2271 FAX (209)551-3593
