CONTIUATION-OFFICIAL INSPECTION REPORT <br />This inspection report supersedes those issued on 10-1-99 and 10-7-99. <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATION <br />The new violation: <br />4. Dry sludge cake was disposed on the ground near a set of drums near <br />evaporation pond. The analytical result of the sample of the cake revealed <br />high concentration of Cadmium. <br />a. Cease this practice immediately. <br />b. Within 7 days of receipt of this report, remove the above-mentioned waste <br />from the ground and containerize the waste in accordance with Section <br />66262.34(a)(1) of Title 22. <br />H&S 25189.5 <br />The violations noted on the original inspection report: <br />10. The following wastes were not characterized in accordance with CCR <br />66262.11: <br />a. 34 drums of oily waste near parking lot. <br />b. 5 half-filled drums of sludge near evaporation pond. <br />c. 55 half-filled drums of sludge and liquid waste near waste storage area. <br />d. 48 drums of liquid waste in hazardous waste storage area. <br />e. 2 drums of liquid waste in Defect & NuGeon Area. <br />f. 1 drum of liquid waste in Degreasing Area inside the building. <br />g. Brake shoes from Knock -off Area. <br />Within 30 days of receipt of the original inspection report, determine if the <br />above-mentioned wastes are hazardous in accordance with CCR 66262.11. <br />11. Oily fluid was on the floor in the Degreasing Area in Caliper Department, <br />and dry sludge cake was on the ground near the drums, stored near <br />evaporation pond and patio area. <br />a. Within 7 days of receipt of the original inspection report, implement spill <br />prevention plan and minimize the release of hazardous waste. <br />b. Effective immediately, remove and containerize the waste. <br />CCR 66265.31 <br />19. The following wastes were stored on site longer than 90 days without permit <br />or authorization: <br />a. 34 drums of oily waste near parking lot. <br />b. 5 half-filled drums of sludge near evaporation pond. <br />c. 55 half-filled drums of sludge and liquid waste near waste storage area. <br />d. 48 drums of liquid waste in hazardous waste storage area. <br />
