1 <br />2.0 SCOPE <br />The purpose of the QB REBUILDERS= (QBR) Hazardous Materials Management Plan <br />(HMMP) is to describe and establish the hazardous substances and hazardous waste <br />handling, storage and disposal procedures implemented by QBR for the management of <br />the site's hazardous substances and hazardous wastes. <br />3.0 DEFINITIONS <br />3.1 Chemical Material <br />Any liquid (excluding influent tap water) or gaseous material or any solid material <br />which will undergo a physical and/or chemical change during processing. Chemical <br />materials include the following: <br />A. Maintenance materials (i.e., boiler/cooler treatment chemicals, oils, greases, <br />lubricants, paints, etc). <br />B. Janitorial materials (i.e., soaps, waxes, cleaners, etc.). <br />C. Office supplies (i.e., copy toner, glues, inks, white-out, etc.). <br />D. Manufacturing/lab materials (i.e., plating chemicals and materials, acids, <br />caustics, adhesives, solvents, cleaners, dyes, resins, polishers, pressurized <br />gases, cutting and machining fluids and oils, etc.). <br />3.2 Hazardous Substance <br />Any chemical material or mixture which: <br />A. Has a hazard rating (toxic, corrosive, flammable, reactive, combustible, <br />explosive) equal to or greater than one (reference material's MSDS), <br />B. Is, or contains a material, in any quantity, which is determined to cause <br />cancer, damage specific body organs, or is otherwise considered a hazard <br />to human health (reference the material's MSDS), or <br />
