b. Outside storage containment includes berms, trays and pans with <br />sufficient capacity to contain a release of stored wastes plus <br />precipitation from a 24-hour, 25 -year storm. <br />4. Must be equipped with security measures which will control entry and <br />access to the stored hazardous waste, including: <br />a. Enclosures, gates, barricades, and locks; and <br />b. A sign with the legend "DANGER HAZARDOUS WASTE AREAT <br />UNAUTHORIZED PERSONNEL KEEP OUT' placed at the <br />entrance of the storage area/unit and other locations in sufficient <br />numbers to be seen from any approach to the storage area/unit. <br />The legend shall be written in English, Spanish and any other <br />language predominant in the surrounding community and shall be <br />legible from a distance of at least 25 feet. <br />5. Must be equipped with a readily accessible appropriate fire suppression <br />system (i.e., approved fire extinguishers and/or overhead (with 10 feet) <br />sprinkler system), including no smoking signs posted in the area. <br />7.5.4. All incompatible hazardous wastes must be stored a minimum of 20 feet from <br />each other and/or completely isolated from each other. <br />7.5.5 All stored hazardous waste containers and storage areas/units must be <br />protected from damage from vehicles and equipment. <br />7.5.6 Stored hazardous waste containers and storage areas/units must be adequately <br />protected against moisture, heat, sunlight, and impact. <br />7.5.7 All stored hazardous waste containers shall be kept securely closed at all times <br />except when adding and/or transferring waste contents. <br />7.5.8 Hazardous waste storage areas/units dedicated to the storage of specific wastes <br />shall be labeled accordingly (i.e., "Flammable Waste Storage Only", etc.). <br />7.5.9 Hazardous waste accumulation and storage time shall be as follows: <br />No hazardous waste storage container shall be used to accumulate <br />and/or store hazardous waste for more than 90 days from the date the <br />container is issued for use, unless the container is a designated satellite <br />accumulation container located in a predesignated satellite accumulation <br />location in accordance with this plan. <br />2.
