V. ORDER <br /> Based on the foregoing FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS, AND DETERMINATION, IT IS <br /> HEREBY ORDERED THAT Respondent conduct the following response actions in the <br /> manner specified herein, and in accordance with a schedule specified by DTSC as <br /> follows: <br /> 5.1 All response actions taken pursuant to this Order shall be consistent <br /> with the requirements of Chapter 6.8 (commencing with section 25300), Division 20 of <br /> the Health and Safety Code and any other applicable state or federal statutes and <br /> regulations. <br /> 5.2 Site Remediation Strategy. The purpose of this Order is to require for <br /> the Site: Notification by the Respondent of intent to comply with this order; maintenance <br /> of fencing at the site; posting of appropriate warning signs; preparation of a plan for the <br /> segregation, identification and temporary storage of the chemicals found on the site; <br /> preparation of the necessary documentation to remove the chemicals to a properly <br /> permitted and authorized disposal site; and preparation of a post removal assessment. <br /> The overall site remediation strategy reflects DTSC program goals, objectives, and <br /> requirements. <br /> 5.3 Remedial Action Objectives. Based on available information, DTSC <br /> has preliminarily determined that the remedial action objectives for the Site shall include <br /> containment, chemical identification and disposal, protection of residents and <br /> preparation of a post-removal site characterization. <br /> 5.3.1 Containment. Containment of the contaminants in a manner that will <br /> minimize or prevent the further migration of the contaminants identified in section 2.4 as <br /> well as any other contaminants discovered during the term of this Order. The <br /> Respondent shall maintain fencing/barriers and signage to minimize access to the site <br /> by unauthorized persons. <br /> Page 8 of 25 <br />
