0
czdcv leedearch eompamy
1085 S. UNION ROAD
MANTECA, CALIF. 95336
PHONE (209) 823-2081
SINCE 1950
Mr. Brad Parsons
Dept. of Tlealth Services
Toxic Substances Control Division
4250 Power Inn Road
Sacramento, California 95826
Dear Mr. Parsons:
The enclosed letter was mistakenly mailed to me. The envelope was addressed
to me but the letter inside was addressed to Mr. Lague. If a letter similar to
this was intended for me, please mail it so I can have it for my records. If
such is the case I would appreciate your allowing me more time than was indicated
as the digging up of records of such widely diversed times and specifications
plus the other requirements will put me under a hardship of pressure for such a
near date. It will be shown that my toxic waste situation has been blown far out
of proportion. The photographs_ your people took all have an explanation that
will reveal a relatively innocuous situation. I do have several drums of material
which truly could be classed as waste, but I have, before this incident, main-
tained them intact. I have, for many years prior to hazardous waste departments,
been conscious of the need to avoid spillage:as I have my own well and drink the
water under this soil.
I have been (and will be) complying with all demands of your department.
When all the smoke clears, however, I m sure it will have been shown by adequate
testimony of sundry legitimate busines s that the materials I have are, virtually
all, in useable condition. I have alr d0hada ls from businesses who wanted
me to deliver some of them.
es,
Larrdon
