It appears that the area is limited to the areas around borings <br /> B-3 and B-4 and limited in depth to between 10 and 20 feet bgs. <br /> F, <br /> F; AEMC recommended "no further work and permanent closure" for tanks T-1 and T-2 and <br /> Frecommended excavation of soil around the former fill pipe area of tank T-3. <br /> 44 <br /> FREMEDIATION <br /> F <br /> Soil Excavation <br /> F <br /> AEMC submitted a Phase III Remediation Proposal on October 23, 1991. This proposal <br /> presented a plan for excavation of approximately 40 cubic yards of soil containing diesel <br /> � I <br />� ' constituents from the area near the former fill pipe location of tank T-3, collection and analysis <br /> Fof soil samples to verify removal of soil containing diesel constituents above cleanup goals, and <br /> disposal of excavated soil. <br /> F <br /> FThe activities described in the proposal were initiated on December 10, 1991. Excavated soil <br /> was placed on visqueen. The backfill material replaced in the tank excavation was removed and j <br /> I <br /> N ' placed in stockpile SP-1. Excavation continued in the southwest corner of theP it to remove soil <br /> r: <br /> that was visibly stained.
