The replicate sample will be labeled with the following sample
identification:
RTI-REPT-1417
This sample will be handled and analyzed in the same manner as its counterpart sample.
., 2.4 TASK 4 - GROUND WATER SAMPLING
Based on Remcor's current assumption that ground water will be encountered above 30 feet,
three monitoring wells will be installed. These wells will be sampled to determine the qual-
ity of ground water at the site. Remcor will also sample the two existing site ground water
production wells, which are drilled to depths of between 120 and 180 feet. The production
wells will be sampled at spigots at locations identified by Remcor as the best suited location
to collect samples. Remcor will also make a thorough inventory of the production wells at
the site noting well depth, construction details, and, if practical, water level in the wells.
The ground water samples and a field blank sample will be placed in a uniquely labeled,
laboratory-prepared sample container. The labeling system will be similar to that used
during the soil sampling, as discussed earlier. Upon collection, each sample will be placed
in a cooler and chilled to approximately 4 degrees centigrade. Upon completion of chain-of-
custody and request-for-analysis forms, the samples will be shipped via overnight courier to
the subcontract analytical laboratory for analysis. The sample will be analyzed for RCRA
metals, TCL VOCs, ammonia, and hexavalent chromium.
2.5 TASK 5 - VISUAL INSPECTION OF SEPTIC SYSTEM
Remcor will visually inspect the septic system lines from the Engine Room. This inspection
will determine the location of each floor drain and the pipe size. If cleanouts are present,
they will be located. If sludge is present in a cleanout located in the Engine Room, a sample
:24"7
