6.0 CONCLUSIONS
The following conclusions and recommendations are based on the observations and
 g
analytical data collected to date. Site soil and round water conditions not discovered or
Y
currently known may cause a change in the opinions presented in this report.
Laboratoryanalysis of round water samples indicates the presence of moderate levels of
Y g P
gasoline and gasoline constituents in water collected from monitoring well MW-I and
low levels in MW-6 and MW-8. All other monitoring well samples indicated non
detectable levels for analyzed constituents. The data indicate a slight increase in
constituent levels in monitoring well MW-1 as compared with previous sampling event
data. The slight changes observed during this sampling event are not deemed significant.
7.0 RECOMMENDATIONS
Based upon the results of the additional soil and ground water investigation, and the
results obtained from this quarterly sampling event, AGS believe that the lateral and
vertical extent of gasoline contaminated ground water have been adequately defined.
' AGS recommends continued quarterly monitoring of the six monitoring wells sampled
during this event to assess ground water quality over time. The next regularly scheduled
quarterly sampling event will take place in June, 1997.
A work plan has been submitted and approved to conduct a remedial soil excavation at
the site in April of 1998.
8.0 SIGNATURES AND CERTIFICATION
This project was performed by American Geological Services, Inc. in accordance with
accepted geologic and hydrologic standards of the State of California in effect at the time
of this investigation. Additional work or sampling at this site may generate data that
' could lead to a change of opinion regarding site conditions.
