The decision to undertake either of these projects will be based on the
economics of the Lodi area in the next 12 to 18 months.
We believe that with some careful planning that we can avoid the destruction of
monitoring wells when either of the above projects come to pass. We do not
believe that the need for a monitoring well relocation or any other environmental
work should stand in the way of future site development.
This location will be submitted to the State Cleanup Fund by the end of February
1996. We had hoped to be able to work jointly with other property owners in the
area in further investigation and potential cleanup. Because this location is the
subject of litigation, very little cooperation has been forthcoming from the FDIC,
owners of the "Togos" site to our south. We are most interested in the memo
from (PHS-EHD) to the Local Water Board granting closure to FDIC and its
impact on our site.
I hope that this letter has answered your questions satisfactorily. If you have any
further questions, please feel free to call me at 209-943-2011.
Sincerely,
Nicolas Bokides
lodinf.doc
