TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Design Specifications • Process Flow: The ECAT 250 can process 250 CFM of contaminated air on a continual basis. • Process Connection: 3inch fnpt connection • VOC Processing Capability: The Electric Catalytic Oxidizer can treat up 3,500 ppmv of VOC's or approximately 25% LEL. The LEL level can be determined by analyzing the temperature rise across the catalyst cell, which occurs from the combustion of the vapors. (1% LEL = approximately 25° F rise above the catalyst Het temperature of 6500F) • Catalytic Module: The Catalytic Module is a platinum coated metal monolith that can achieve conversion of most VOC's at approximately half of the operating temperature of a thermal oxidizer. The temperature range for cataliic oxidation is 600°F to 1150°F and is limited to non-chlorinated and non-leaded vapor streams for the standard ECAT unit. Specialized catalysts and materials of construction are utilized for other vapor streams. • Destruction Efficiency. The Destruction Efficiency of VOC's for the standard SCAT is 95% +. Major Components • Trailer or Skid: The SCAT can be either trailer or skid mounted. Skid dimensions are 75 inches wide x 60 inches long x 156 inches tall / weight approximately 4,500 pounds. Trailer dimensions are 102 inches wide x 144 inches long x 156 inches tall / \,eight 5.500 pounds. • Entrainment Separator: The Entrainment Separator is provided to remove Nvater that is brought up during vapor extraction from the vapor stream. It has a tangential Het that cyclone separates the water from the vapors with 90% cfficiencv. It also has a filter to remove incoming particulate. The Entrainment Separator dimensions are 16 inches in diameter x 60 inches tall. • Vacuum Pump: The Vacuum Pump extracts the vapors from the soil and can produce vacuum levels from 1 inch of water to 350 inches of water depending on the type of pump provided. The pump is powered by a motor, \%?Hch is sized to provide enough horsepower to generate the flow required at the specified vacuum level for each system.
