Preliminary Investigation Report - September 1997 <br /> Former EF Mitchler Property <br /> 400 South Lincoln Street, Stockton, California <br /> 110. INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with your request, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc., (AGE) has prepared the <br /> enclosed Preliminary Investigation Report for EF Mitchler property at 400 South LincoIn Street in <br /> Stockton, California (the site). The scop of work included the establishment of three soil borings; <br /> the collection and analysis of soil and water samples and a methane vapor survey in the subsurface <br /> vault located on the property. The location of the site with respect to its surroundings is illustrated <br /> in Figure 1 - Location Map. Buildings and boring locations on the site are illustrated in Figure 2 - <br /> Site Plan. <br /> This scope of work was performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) sites. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1 SITE LOCATION <br /> The site is located in an industrial area of Southern Stockton at the intersection of Lincoln Street and <br /> Church Streets at an elevation of approximately 5 feet above sea level. A cement mixing and <br /> distribution facility currently occupies the facility. Significant features on the property are illustrated <br /> in Figure 2 - Site Plan. <br /> 2.2. UNDER GROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> Two 1,000-gallon gasoline USTs were removed from the site in August 1991. Petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g) were not detected in soil samples collected from beneath the <br /> USTs. However, toluene was detected at a concentration of 0.009 parts per million. A site closure <br /> was granted by the PHS-EHD in a letter dated 18 May 1992., <br /> 2.3. OFF-SITE UNDER GROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL AND RELEASES <br /> A review of PHS-EHD records identified one site uThich has a potential envirorunental concern to <br /> the site.
