Brake dust grindings ar left on shop floor. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize <br /> the possibility of a fire, expl sion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could <br /> threaten human health or t e environment. Immediately clean up the brake dust grindings, and manage <br /> according to Title 22 hazar ous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation <br /> explaining how this waste as managed by 7-21-11. Class II Repeat Violation. <br /> 20. The two drums of haza dous waste paint lack accumulation start dates. The five gallon bucket of <br /> hazardous waste brake du t has a hazardous waste label that is not legibly filled out. All hazardous <br /> waste containers shall be arked with the following information: <br /> 1. the words "Hazardous ste" <br /> 2. name and address of ge erator <br /> 3. hazardous properties <br /> 4. physical state <br /> 5. composition (contents) <br /> 6. accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these cor tainers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. Since it cannot be determined how long these wastes have been on site, immediately <br /> contact a licensed hazardo s waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of <br /> the manifest to the EHD by -21-11. Class II Repeat Violation. <br /> 23. The drums of drained u ed oil filters are not marked with an accumulation start date. Used oil filters <br /> must be stored in a closed, ainproof container, labeled as "drained used oil filters," and marked with an <br /> accumulation start date. Im ediately mark these drums with an accumulation start date and ensure that <br /> all used oil filters are managed in this way. Class II Repeat Violation. <br /> 79. Universal waste(UW) la ps were stacked against the storage room wall. A UW handler shall <br /> manage lamps in a way tha prevents releases of any UW or component of a UW to the environment. a <br /> UW handler shall contain a y lamp in a container or package that is structurally sound, adequate to <br /> prevent breakage, and com atible with the contents of the lamp. Such a container or package shall <br /> remain closed and shall lacy evidence of leakage or damage that could cause leakage under reasonably <br /> foreseeable conditions.
